Özet (EN)

All transport services requires major infrastructural investments. The progress of developing countries depends on the investments and also these investments depend on the resources that can be allocated for this purpose. Transportation projects are funded mostly by the public sector in Turkey. But, the obligation of putting the major investments into practice, limited national resources and technological deficiencies make difficult to finance investments with public resources, therefore, using of different financial methods is inevitable. Build-Operate-Transfer (BOT) model is a model that developed for these difficulties. In BOT model, easing the burden of the public finance by increasing the share of private sector on investments and increasing efficiency in the provision of services, are targeted. In this research, the applicability of BOT model in road infrastructure projects has been investigated. By considering the advantages and disadvantages of the BOT model, it was searched an answer to question of ?What is the most appropriate financial model in Turkey conditions?
