Abstract (EN)

Todays, many of our jobs have been made electronically depending on technological developments. One of the sectors which is mostly affected by the development of advanced technology and globalization is the logistics sector. Although logistics basicly used to refer to the process of moving resources from one location to another location in specified time, it includes other integrated and strategic steps together. The cargo delivery sector is the main part of the logistics sector. The cargo sectors meet customer needs and demands to increase the effectiveness of operations and maintain their competiveness in the sector. The aim of this study is to determine the order of preference of major delivery companies, superiority to each other and importance in logistics sector in Turkey via Multi-Criteria Decision Making (MCDM) techniques. In order to determine the criteria and evaluate the quality of the cargo companies, a survey was applied. In this study, 11 cargo sectors are analyzed using 7 main criteria (price, delivery, reputation, quality, social responsibility, technological competence, accessibility). The order of preference to cargo companies has been determined by applying EDAS and MOORA methods, which are Multi-Criteria Decision-Making Techniques. At the end of the study, all the evaluations show the ranking within the preferred alternative cargo sectors according to important criteria.
