Abstract (EN)

The origin of banking dates back to ancient times. However, banking, which has continued its progress since the 1300s, stepped into modern banking with the establishment of the Central Bank of America in the 20th century. In the field of banking, which develops and grows according to the need of economic systems, there are different types of banking than conventional banking. In addition, these different types of banking continue to operate more and more effectively. One of these banking types is Participation banking. In short, Participation banking is the banks that operate to collect funds through private current and participation accounts and to use these funds in accordance with interest-free finance conditions. Participation banking continues to develop in terms of demand in Turkey as well as all over the World. In this study, a questionnaire was applied on the determinants of the preferences of customers who prefer participation banks. The surveys were created through Google forms and distributed throughout Turkey and 423 people participated in the survey. After the analysis of the surveys, it was concluded that the most important factor fort he customers is the Customer Service factor among the four determined factors. Accordingly, it has been determined that the most important factor in determining the determinants of customer preferences is the Customer Service factor.
