Abstract (EN)

In this study, 15 national and international methods used in classical guitar education in Turkey were systematically examined through the document analysis method. The objective of this research is to analyze the content structure of these methods and provide guidance to guitar instructors regarding material selection and the preparation of teaching plans. The study utilized a qualitative research design based on document analysis. The methods were evaluated within the framework of content structure, exercise-etude design, genre types, rhythmic structures, string usage intensity, playing techniques, and tonal relationships. The findings indicate that these methods adopt a gradual "simple-to-complex" learning process and structure technical development around an "exercise-etude" focus. Melodic structures are primarily grounded in the treble strings during the initial stages, with bass strings introduced in more advanced phases. Simple time signatures (4/4, 2/4, 3/4) are predominant, and major keys are utilized significantly more extensively than minor keys. In conclusion, it has been observed that traditional methods present technical requirements in a systematic sequence, while contemporary resources emphasize the "learning by doing" principle. This research is significant in revealing the current landscape of classical guitar education and providing educators with an up-to-date reference source.
