Abstract (EN)
Besides being a very popular matter both in Turkey and The World, the topic ? Energy? is also an important element in growth and development of economies.In order to maintain sustainable energy, protect national interests, minimize energy dependence and improve ecological values; heading towards renewable or alternative local energy resources is a must. Nevertheless, effective consumption of energy also takes an important place in enegy policies.In the thesis, renewable energy resources were tried to evaluate according to their potential and usage capacity in Turkey. It has been understood that, renewable energy resources have been raising all around the world. Altough Turkey has a big potential of alternative energy resources, usage and production of alternative resources are less than expected. It has been expected that alternative energy resources will increase their share of total energy production all around the world.
