Abstract (EN)
Global environmental problems threaten the future of humanity and marine pollution is one of these problems. Seas are the source of oxygen and marine food reserves, the basis of life, as well as the host of many activities such as sea tourism and sea transportation. When the sources of sea pollution are examined, it can be seen that it is caused by land, air, offshore facilities accidents and marine vehicles. The struggle with sea pollution is maintained globally with international agreements and national legislations. The Black Sea, as a closed sea, is more vulnerable to pollution than others and has been declared as a private area. In parallel with the increase in the traffic density of the sea, the threat of sea pollution caused by sea transportation increases. In this study, "Turkey's Black Sea marine pollution violations and the identification of the source of that" is specified as the research question and the concepts of "Sea Pollution" and "the sea pollution originating from marine vehicles" are on the basis of it. The data of the violations detected by the Coast Guard Command on the shores of the Black Sea and offshore were analyzed, Pollution caused by marine vehicles in the Black Sea has been identified and solutions have been developed. The absence of such a study on the Black Sea in the national and international literature on marine pollution adds a different value to the research.
