Abstract (EN)

In healthcare organizations health technologies are used in order to diagnose, treat and rehabilitate diseases within a short time and in a right manner. Through the utilization of health technology within the healthcare services also the costs of healthcare services increased. In such a case, in the country?s executive administrations and in the hospital managements, it is necessary for an effective healthcare management to implement practices aiming at benefitting the most from health technology at the lowest costs.The purpose of this thesis is to ascertain that health technologies are applicable in Turkey in an effective, productive and economic manner and to establish its relationship with bio-medical engineers. In this study, health technology management within the task area of the state and the health technology management applications at hospitals of the Ministry of Health in Turkey have been discussed. Within this framework the state policies and planning for health technology as well as the factors affecting the effectiveness and cost increases of health technologies at hospitals subject to the Ministry of Health have been researched. The parameters of research was obtained from literature and observation in ZK Education and Research Hospital.During the research it has been determined that there are factors affecting effectiveness and cost increases in health technology applications. It is determined that it was not analized the cost-benefit in the practice of health technology. At the conclusion of the research recommendations have been made aiming at benefitting the most from health technology applications at lower costs in Turkey.Key Words: Health Technology, Health Equipment, Medical Device, Effectiveness.
