Abstract (EN)
Mongols have left mark in world history with their destruction and invasion in Asia and Anatolia regions. Their expansion from Far East to Anatolia borders changed the equilibriums in these region. Undoubtedly Turkey Seljuk Empire is most affected from this predicament. Sultan I. Alâeddin, which is the emperor of the Seljuk Emperor had noticed the Mongol threat and tried to take precautions. In this period Seljuks border on Mongols, as a result of Yassıçemen War in 1230 with Khwarazmshah. Sultan I. Alâeddin had accepted the proposal of the Mongols' proposal to become a city, because he bewared of Mongol threat. Thus Sultan I. Alâeddin had protected his empire from Mongol threat, but inexperienced management of his son II. Gıyâseddin, which ascended to throne after him had drawn Mongols to Anatolia. Babaîler Revolt in 1240 showed that Empire had lost its old power and encourage Mongols. Seljuk army was defeated in Kösedağ War which took place in 1243, Sultan has escaped from battle arena, and resulted Anatolia territories exposed to Mongol invasion. Hereafter Sultans of Seljuk that ascended to throne had not showed to sagacity and negative actions of some of the statesman resulted in Turkey Seljuk Empire to enter patronage of the Mongols and their territories are dominated by Mongols. Turkey Seljuk Empire is managed by governors, which are assigned by Mongols. Mevlâna which is the significant sufi of the period is both sooths people and governors to stay them astute from Mongol oppression. Some of the governors sought help from Sultan Baybars, emperor of the Mameluk. When Baybars come in to Anatolia to help them governors afraid from Mongols to support him and as a result Baybars returned to his empire without helping them. After that Mongol tyranny is continued to increase until the downfall of the Turkey Seljuk Empire.
