Abstract (EN)

Erzurum which has a strategic importance in Anatolia is placed in east Anatolia. Erzurum which is surrounded high mountains had both commercial and military importance of Anatolia, İran and Middle East throughout history. İn Byzantium period, Erzurum was important for Anatolia. It was one of the first cities which are conguered by Turkish. The presence of Seljuk?s artchitectural Works in the city shows the importance of it for Turkish-Islamic history. This also shows scientific and cultural studies are important in developmenty of Anatolia.The city of history stars in BC Christian and Muslim?s Works Show the importance of the city. In addition, Anuent, Pers, Byzantium, Arab, Armenian and Turkish?s architectural Works testify the cultural interaction.In this study, some information about names of the Erzurum throughout history and geographical location of it is given. Turks-Islamic domination entry is explained politically.Based artchitectural studies which are the result of this domination, cultural, scientifiic and social importance of Anatolia is explained.The importance of Erzurum in Middle Age, the importance of it in Turkish-Islamic history after domination are explained respectively. The information about Architectural Feature of buldings, cultural and living conditions are given.
