Abstract (EN)

The problem of regional development is one of the problems from the past to the present. Many theories and tools have been developed to solve these problems. The lack of attention given to the concept of development before the Second World War further increased regional imbalances. Increasing globalization, changes in production processes, local planning rather than national planning, and policies that enable problems to be solved closely are included. It has been understood that development will be possible with the development of social, cultural and human factors as well as the growth in national income. Thus, each country has implemented policies depending on its own economic and geographical structures. In our country, there are various socioeconomic measures used to reduce interregional imbalances. Some of these criteria were interpreted using the 2020 TUIK data. Keywords: Development, regional development, regional development policies, regional development agencies
