Abstract (EN)
Vocabulary established with prepositions has been determined by scanning two important dictionaries of our Turkish language, Turkish Dictionary (TDK) and Misalli Büyük Turkish Dictionary. It has been seen that the prepositions that are used in this study and that are meaningless also make serious contributions to the language. Scanning the dictionaries has revealed many examples while also revealing the differences between dictionaries. Determining the vocabulary that is only found in one of the dictionaries and not in the other, found in both dictionaries and not found in both dictionaries is a valuable acquisition for the language and resources to complement each other. The samples obtained during the study were separated and classified in terms of conceptual, thematic and structure, and their processing was facilitated. In addition, the crossover situations of dictionaries, that is, the common vocabulary, which is in its content and not, has also been determined. In addition to the common meanings given by both dictionaries in response to the same vocabulary, different or more meanings of the dictionaries were added to the meaning of the same word, according to the usage and the multiplicity of examples. Word types in general and prepositions in particular are emphasized. In addition, opinions on the classification of prepositions are also included. Vocabulary established with prepositions that form the essence of the study was first examined conceptually. In the thematic analysis, the examples were grouped with their common features and their semantic differences were determined. With the determined criteria, prepositions can create brand new meanings with the nouns they are used together, even if they are in charge. As a result, it has been seen that a new meaning often emerges from the sum of the two words. These structures, which are included in the dictionaries as head and internal items, have an important place in the vocabulary of Turkish.
