Abstract (EN)
Turkmen carpet motifs possess an exceptionally rich and multi-layered subject matter. These motifs represent the belief systems, relationship with nature, everyday objects, and the overall life of the Turkmen people from various perspectives, making them significant artistic elements. Particularly influenced by Islam, Turkmen carpet motifs exhibit tendencies towards abstraction and include stylized forms of mythological figures, natural elements, and everyday items. The Turkmen artist skillfully embedded these elements into motifs, ensuring their transmission across generations. Analyzing these motifs provides valuable insights into the material and spiritual culture of the Turkmen. The core focus of this study is the comprehensive evaluation of this rich motif content. Key Words: Turkmen Carpets, Lake Motifs, Ethnic Identity, Cultural Heritage, Motif Analysis
