Özet (EN)

This study was carried out to find out if tumor-carrying trees were infected by viroids; if so, determining what kind of viroid profile these trees have. During biological indexing method, common viroid symptoms were noticed such as leaf curling, leaf necrosis, dwarfing, petiole necrosis, leaf tip browning and dropping leaf. Results of biological indexing method were consistent with sPAGE results. Five orange trees were chosen as a result of sPAGE analysis. There were at least one or more viroid bands seen in four of these five trees. Only one tree was clean and no viroid band was seen. CEVd was common viroid in all four of them. Adana (2) and Adana (5) orange trees were infected with only CEVd viroid. Kozan (3) Valencia tree was carrying CVd-IIa and CVd-IV in addition to CEVd viroids. Kozan (4) Valencia trees were infected with CVd-Ia, CVd-Ib, CVd-IIa, CVd-IIb, CVd-IIIb and CVd-IV as well as CEVd viroids. Results of the study point out that trees carrying tumor like formations do not have any common viroid profile.
