Abstract (EN)

In this study, the effects of biochar application (0 - 1% biochar) produced from citrus pruning waste on fruit yield and quality criteria and some plant nutrient content in leaves were investigated in Sabrina and Fortuna strawberry cultivars and selected hybrid strawberry genotypes 33, 36 and 112. The study was carried out in 3-liter pots placed under the Spanish type high tunnel and in Çukurova University Horticulture Department laboratories in the 2020-2021 growing season. Biochar applications had positive effects on fruit width, fruit length, titratable acid content, total amount of water-soluble dry matter, pH value, fruit outer color hue0, "a" and "C" values, and the difference between applications was found to be statistically significant. It was found that the application was not statistically significant in total yield per plant, fruit number, fruit weight, fruit flesh firmness, and fruit outer color "b" value. When the effects of biochar applications on the macro and micro nutrient concentrations determined in the leaves are examined; It was concluded that the biochar application had a positive effect on K, Mg, Fe, Zn levels and the difference between the applications was statistically significant.
