Abstract (EN)
Tuyuhuns, whose Turkish or Mongolian origins have been disputed, are closely related to Turkish history. According to the Chinese sources, "Their tradition is the same as Turks". Although their statehood lasted nearly 350 years, the study on this matter in the Turkish scientific world does not exceed several pages. Information about Tuyuhuns mostly comes from Chinese sources. They migrated from the Liaodong region of China to today's Gansu and Kok nor; over time they added Hun, Mongolian, and proto-Tibetan (Di and Qiang) tribes, expanded the land; reached the southeast part of East Turkistan and became stakeholders of the Silk Road. Again, they implemented the two-winged state structure seen in the Turkish states. Political and military incidents have occurred with Song, Tabgaç, Sui, and Tang from the States of China. They were connected for some period to Kok-Turks. Records about them are part of our historic treasure.
