Abstract (EN)

In this study, the effect of salt stres on germination and seedling growth of different grass pea (three local populations;1603, 2006, 4403, and two registered varieties; Gap Mavisi and Iptas) was investigaeted. Salt stress was created at four different salt concentrations, 40, 80, 120 and 160 mM, using NaCl, and the control was pure water. The experiment was aranged as three replications according to the split plot design. Experiments were carried out in pot media under controlled conditions. Germination characteristics were determined at the end of the 8th day and the seedling characteristics were determined at the end of the 21st day. Germination rate and ratio, shoot length, root length, number of branches, shoot and root dry weight, ADF, NDF, protein ratio and mineral matter (K, P, Ca, Mg) content were determined. The effect of salt dose, genotype and genotype x dose interaktion on the investigated traits was significant. Salt stress generally had a negative effect on germination characteristics and caused an increase in root dry weight. Protein ratio, on the other hand, positively affected by high values in salt conditions applied at high doses. As a result, these responses of grass pea to salt stress differed according to genotypes and doses.
