Özet (EN)

In this study, which mentions the construction of citizenship in the early Republican period, firstly the conceptual framework of ancient citizenship then the main implications of modern citizenship, which are defined with reference to the nation state, are discussed. In the first part of the study, the scope and boundaries of ancient citizenship are determined, and the main variables referenced by citizenship ideals and practices in ancient cities are examined. In the second part, in response to the emergence of the nation form, the changes and transformations in the citizenship status are discussed. In addition, ideal types based on different comprehensions of nation and citizenship are evaluated. Finally, in the last part, with the reference to the conceptual framework that was tried to be provided in the previous chapters, the construction of citizenship in the early Republican period is discussed, the main variables of nation form and citizenship status are examined.
