Abstract (EN)
The first section of the study discusses current deficit and evaluates with a macroeconomic view. Following a general discussion, situation is assessed and a comprehensive approach including sustainability is adopted. The second section focuses on energy supply and effects on economy. Hence, energy is first discussed and then discussion is concentrated on oil. After discussing relationship between oil prices and macroeconomic variables, researches on relationship between oil prices and current deficit are investigated. Consequently, it is found out that there exist a positive causality form oil prices to current deficit and the finding is supported by other studies in literature.
