Özet (EN)

This research titled as `The Effects of International Typographic Design Style on Contemporary Swiss Design? has documented the reconstruction of traditional Swiss design style insight on contemporary Swiss graphic design and has carried the dimension of the research outside Swiss boundaries with current design examples of the present era. Switzerland has been an important intersection in terms of graphic design and the development of modern typography. In the first part, along with the historical process of Switzerland and its significance in graphic design; the emergence of the international style and the works of the pioneers and masters of this style have been covered. In the second part, the effects of postmodern graphic design on Swiss Style were analyzed and style opponent Wolfgang Weingart and the designers of the New Wave Typography that he has pioneered, were comprised. `Swiss Style? has continued in USA interacting with different design perceptions, this situation has necessitated the analysis of postmodern graphic design. In the third part, new alignments in contemporary Swiss design have been discussed and the effects of Swiss Style have been investigated through the analysis of poster designs in Switzerland and abroad. Just like in the past, the traces of this design style are apparent throughout the world. The differing work processes and methods in graphic design have also changed the boundaries of the international typographic style. Therefore; works compatible with the contemporary Swiss graphic design have also been implied. Thereby, along with designs of the international Swiss Style, the interdisciplinary work processes of designers have been the focus of this research.
