Expectations of university students from continuing education centers of universities

With this research, it is aimed to reveal the expectations of associate and undergraduate students from the continuing education centers operating in universities, their level of participation and the factors affecting the access of university students to the educational opportunities offered by the continuous education centers. In the research, general scanning method was used from descriptive scanning model which is one of the scanning models. The population of the study consists of 44,223 students attending a university in Southeastern Anatolia Region in 2018-2019 academic year. The sample consisted of 393 students selected by simple random method. The data of the research was obtained by using the Anket Survey of Students' Opinions on the Trainings Provided by Continuous Education Centers of Universities erek which was formed by examining the studies on the subject. In order to compare the differences between the independent variables, the data obtained from the questionnaire were analyzed by Mann Whitney U test and Kruskal-Wallis H tests. As a result of the study, it was concluded that the opinions of university students about continuous education centers and the factors that prevent their access to education did not show significant differences according to gender variable. It was concluded that the factors that prevent students from participating in continuous education centers differ significantly according to the income variable. It was concluded that there was a significant difference only in terms of student views in terms of faculty variable in undergraduate and undergraduate education.
