Abstract (EN)

With the development of computer technology and software day by day, significant progress has been made all over the world in Geographical/Urban Information systems applications. GIS technology provides geographic, visual and statistical analyzes provided by maps to the user. In this respect, GIS, which is different from other information systems, is mostly preferred by the public and private sectors in defining the situations that arise in the field of service and creating strategic plans by making predictions for the future, thanks to all these opportunities it provides. In this research, a pilot study was created with the "Campground Equipment Information System" (YEDBIS), which can be a part of the information system model and provide fast and reliable access to data. For this purpose, the Mosque, Education Buildings, Administrative Buildings, Congress Center, Guest House, Parking Lot, Greenhouse Area, Sports Area (Open and Closed), Social Activity Area (Student Life Center Building) and Lodging located within the borders of Recep Tayyip Erdoğan University Zihni Derin campus. With the user, the place where they are located, aesthetic-functional features, technological properties, material structures, sustainability relations and maintenance-repair conditions of the urban furniture in the place were determined, identity cards of the equipment were created and stored spatially in the GIS environment. Analyzing these data for various purposes, making inquiries and obtaining new data will be beneficial. In the study; ● Literature Search ● Inventory Studies (Inventory study of artificial landscape materials (urban furniture), such as flooring elements, sitting benches, garbage cans, lighting elements, survey studies for campus users) ● Spatial Data Storage in GIS Environment ● Creation of Reinforcement Cards and Analysis Studies ● Evaluations and Management Model Suggestion A process consisting of steps will be followed. In addition to the analyzes of the equipment characteristics, a questionnaire was applied to 283 campus users (academics, students, administrative staff and guests). As a result of this survey, the relations of the campus users with urban furniture, their awareness and preferences in this direction will also be revealed. In general, the material preference of the reinforcements in the area was chosen from local materials and 86.6% of the users evaluated this situation positively. 65% of the users stated that they would like to receive information about the original and sustainable current works that will be foreseen to be done on urban furniture. 78% of the respondents stated that urban furniture should primarily be functional, 70% should be robust and safe, and 41% should be compatible with the place it is located. In general, 48.4% of the users stated that the reinforcements are compatible in terms of material and aesthetics. In the context of material and aesthetics, the reinforcement data should be entered into the information system up-to-date so that the reinforcements do not form a linguistic unity with each other and that the renovation-maintenance works can be carried out in a healthy way.
