Abstract (EN)

In this study, it was aimed to investigate the relationship between borderline personality traits and anger and aggression behavior in young adults. Participants in the study consisted of 100 university students who were applied to the trait anger and anger style scale, aggression scale and borderline personality inventory. To determine whether the sample has BPD or not, Ömer Aydemir et al. The Borderline Personality Disorder Inventory, which was adapted to Turkish by Turkish Anger, was used to determine the anger styles, and the Trait Anger-Anger Style Scale, whose reliability validity study was conducted by Özer (1994). In addition, a personal information form was given to the participants. Pearson and Sperman correlation was used to measure the relationship between anger and aggression behavior with borderline personality configuration. As a result of the analysis made; The participants' borderline personality structuring rate, which is highly significant with the sub-variables of trait anger and anger expression styles (trait anger, anger in, anger out) and aggression inventory, was found to be high, and the aggression inventory of the participants with a high level of anger control, which is the sub-variable of trait anger and anger expression style. It was concluded that its relation with the sub variable and borderline personality configuration was significantly lower. The comparison of the borderline personality inventory with the physical aggression inventory and trait anger-anger style and aggression scale with the sub-variables was examined using the independent sample t-test method. With this study, academicians and therapists working with bordered personality disorder thought that their anger and aggression levels might be related to Borderline Personality Disorder and made suggestions that could be useful in therapies.
