The evaluation of the ways the adaptation problems of students are handled by their parents, teachers and by themselves

In this study it has been investigated that whether there is a significantrelationship among the ways students with adaptation problems, their parents andteachers handle these problems.The sample of this study comprises 100 fifth class elementary schoolstudents who have been guided by their class teachers and guidance counsellors tothe Kar ıyaka Guidance and Research Centre of zmir Kar ıyaka Directorate ofNational Education due to their adaptation problems and it also comprises theirparents and class teachers namely ; 300 people in total.The three forms of Behaviour Checklist have been applied to students,parents and teachers separetely in order to evaluate perspectives of students, parentsand teachers regarding the adaptation problems in students.The data have been analysed by SPSS Version 12 for Windows. In theanalysis T Test, F Test and Pearson Product Moment Correlation have been applied.The findings from the study can be summarized as :The parents and teachers of the student who has defined a problem in socialwithdrawn, anxiety and depression, social problems, aggressive behaviours,internalizing and total problems in students have stated that s/he does not have aproblem in other areas or does not have a problem at all. Therefore it has been statedthat teachers, students and parents do not share a common view regarding student?sexperiencing the above mentioned problems.It has been stated that students and parents share a common view regardingthe ways how students handle somatic complaints, attention problems, delinquentproblems and externalizing problems. Teachers have not participated in thisevaluation and do not have knowledge about this subject.It has been stated that teachers and parents share a common view regardingthe ways how they handle thought problems in students.
