Özet (EN)

The aim of this study is to determine the views of science teachers on thedevelopment of entrepreneurship skills of secondary school students in distance education. For this purpose, answers to sub-questions were sought. The study group of the research consists of 104 science teachers at different grade levels, working in private and public schools in various provinces of Turkey, who continue their education with the distance education method due to the measures taken within the scope of the Covid-19 Outbreak. 82 of the participants are female and 22 are male teachers. While 86 of the participants work in public schools, 18 participants work in institutions such as private schools, private teaching institutions and study centers. In the research, sequential explanatory mixed design was used. In the study, "Scale" methods were used to collect quantitative data and "Interview" methods were used to collect qualitative data. The scales were created on "Google Forms" and delivered to the participants via social media and telephone. The scales consist of three parts. The first part includes "Personal Information", the second part includes the "Personal Entrepreneurship Perception Scale", the third part includes the "Distance Education Perceptions Scale of Teachers". After the scales, an interview lasting 15-20 minutes was conducted with 9 participants who volunteered by asking "interview questions" on the appropriate day and time with the interview method (phone, skype, whatsapp) they chose in line with their preferences, and their opinions were recorded by converting them into data texts in a way that their personal information would be confidential. . In the findings section, direct quotations from the interviews were supported. The quantitative findings obtained were analyzed by descriptive statistics and the qualitative findings obtained by content analysis method. In conclusion; It was concluded that most of the teachers knew the concepts of entrepreneurship and entrepreneurship skills as much as the meaning in the dictionary. When they were given information about entrepreneurship skills, they answered the questions about entrepreneurship skills knowing what it was. It has been concluded that entrepreneurship skills can be gained and developed in science lessons with appropriate methods and techniques (experiments, projects, problem-based learning, discussion, cooperative learning, problem solving, STEM activities created using household materials). In the distance education process, teachers faced problems such as technical problems, infrastructure, communication, lack of motivation, parental pressure, less participation of the students in the lesson, distraction of the student, turning to different occupations, and teachers' feeling inadequate as technological equipment. It has been concluded that these situations have both positive and negative effects on the entrepreneurship skills of the students. They suggested solutions for infrastructure problems, technical problems, communication, motivation, increasing the student's participation in the lesson, drawing attention to the lesson, and being planned in the decisions to be taken depending on the Ministry of National Education. Keywords: Entrepreneurship skills, distance education, science education.
