Özet (EN)
Component literal in the treatment of bone fracture is fixation of the fragmented bone. As a result of trauma, not only bone fracture occurs, but also with the surrounding soft tissue structures would be damaged. Today, reducing the effects of the trauma to soft tissue, and increasing to care of the fracture, has launched a new era for the treatment of fractured bone; this is biological internal fixation by the minimally invasive technique. Minimally invasive technique is particularly recommended for diaphysis and metaphysis fractures consisting several pieces. In this study, 41 patients were included who admitted for the femur, tibia, and humerus fractures of long bones, since June 2010-August 2012, and treated with minimally invasive osteosynthesis with plate and screws. These patients are evaluated by ages, causes of fracture, fractured bone in which body side, surgery methods according to fracture in which part of the body, durations of stay in the hospital, bone-bonding periods and range of motions (ROM).Totally 41 patients evaluated, 23 (56%) were male and 18 (44%) were female. Average age was 47.5 and average length of follow up was 13 months. Thirty-two cases were evaluated as closed fractures, four were open type 1, two were open type 2 and three were open type 3 fractures. Causes of fractures were traffic accidents, fall from height, simply falling, firearm injuries and direct trauma. As a result, the fixation of diaphyseal and metaphyseal fractures with minimally invasive surgical incisions were concluded that had better recovery time, excellent functional results, and the safe and effective alternative of the open surgery. Keywords: Fracture, fixation of fracture, minimally invasive surgery.?
