Structural simulation and development possibilities of cattle barns in family enterprises in Van region

The yield obtained from beef and dairy catties can increase with raising animals in barns, which are built according to technical principles besides measures like keeping, fattening and breeding. A great part of the first investment expenses in animal enterprises used for barn building. Because of using first investment sources as unconsciously and unsuitably, the expected benefit from barn is not provided and extra investments prevent enterprises to be economic. While planning an animal barn in one region, climate, building systems, building materials must be suitable to region and possibilities of providing materials in cheap prices and fattening systems should be beard in mind. Because of insufficient knowledge about barn planning in regions which have different climatical conditions, doing undetailed preliminary studies and especially considering less important to animal - environment relations, barns which have same characteristics for different regions is suggested. In this study, present situation of barns in beef and dairy cattle enterprises in Van region, which people provided their income from animal breeding was determined, and development possibilities were investigated. At the end of the research, 6 barn plans were prepared as an example suitable to climatical conditions of the region. Three barns were tied dairy barns; other three were tied beef cattle barns.
