A study on Vural Bahadır Bayrıl

Vural Bahadır Bayrıl was born in Manisa in 1962. He completed his primary, secondary and high school education in this city and then came to Istanbul for university education. In this period, his interest increased to literature and art. His first poems and writings were published in the early 1980s . Bayrıl is one of the prominent names in Turkish poetry after 1980. In 1992, Melek Geçti published and In the same year, he won the Behçet Necatigil Poetry Award with this book. Poetry Horse Publishing and Poetry Horse Partner books are among the important literary activities of the period. In our master thesis, we tried to examine the life, art and works of Vural Bahadır Bayrıl thematically and formally. Our study consists of three main sections. In the introduction, we tried to emphasize the general situation of Turkish poetry until 1980. Then we evaluated the 1980 generation of Bayrıl and discussed the Turkish poetry that goes back to the present day. In the first part of our study, we focused on the poet's life, family, childhood, education and names that affect his life. We have gathered various interviews, speeches, scattered information in Bayrıl's biography and the information given by him personally. We discussed the poet's first acquaintance with literature, the poets and writers that influenced him, first writings and poems, literary activities and literary personality. In the last part of the first part, we briefly evaluated Bayrıl's works, their published stories, and the differences of pressure. In the second part, we examined the poems of Vural Bahadır Bayrıl in terms of theme and shape. We have identified the most used themes in Bayrıl's poems. Themes such as art, childhood, the phenomenon of life-death, the problem of being, longing for time and past, love, boredom, and anxiety are prominent themes in his poetry. We focused on rhyme and redifs , various line uses, couplet, experimental and visual poetry and free poetry in Bayrıl's poems. In the third part, we classified the prose of Bayrıl according to their subjects. His articles, various newspapers, magazines and books were our main sources. We tried to focus on the elements defined in the conclusion section. In the other part, we first gave the bibliography of Vural Bahadır Bayrıl. Then, under the heading Photographs, we included documents and photographs to reveal some details of the poet's life.
