Abstract (EN)
In this study, the caloric expenditure related to sleeping, sitting, walking, physical activity such as nutrition etc. in daily life of people and calorie expenditure due to basal metabolic rate which can be calculated by internationally estimated formulas was observed and analysed. As a result, a system has been designed and developed which can predict the amount of weight loss. In the first part of the study, data regarding to height, weight, age, gender as physical information and daily food, drink intake and activities were collected through the system. The calorific values were collected through a software interface that we designed and developed. The change between the initial weight of the individual and the weight at the end of the targeted period is calculated with predefined formulas that measure the basal metabolic rate. The measurements has been used to propose a specific formula for each individual that estimates the measured weight and compared with the values obtained by predefined formula.
