Abstract (EN)
Intelligent teaching systems (ITS) are systems that provide guidance to whom and how to teach them according to the information they receive from themselves and plan their educational content accordingly. These systems offer the individual learning environment and the possibility to the person wherever there is internet, without depending on time and place. ITS offers more interactive educational tools and materials than the classroom environment and increases the student's interest in the course. In this study, developed by researchers and the contribution of the web-based intelligent education system which is named as BILZÖS (Intelligent Teaching System of Information Technologies) to the education has been investigated. In addition, in this study, BİLZÖS was used to teach "Shell Operations" in "Open Source Operating Systems" section of "Operating System Course" and the effect of the system on academic achievement and technology acceptance and use levels of prospective teachers who lived a life intertwined with technology intended to determine. In this study, semi-experimental design is used. The experimental and control groups consisted of 3rd grade students studying at the Department of Computer Education and Instructional Technology at Amasya University. The study consisted of a total of 41 subjects, including the experimental (21) and control (20) groups. The control group completed the trainings in the normal way (with the teacher in the computer laboratory) and the experimental group was completed with the guidance of a teacher through the web based intelligent teaching system named BİLZÖS. The achievement test used to collect data was developed by the researcher. The reliability coefficient (Kr-20) of the 19 questions was found to be 0,77. In addition, in order to determine the technology acceptance and usage levels of the prospective teachers, "Technology Acceptance and Uses Scale of Teacher Candidates" developed by Yurdakul, Ursavaş and İşçitürk (2014) was used. The scale is the first scale to be used to determine the technology acceptance and use of teacher candidates in the national literature by using the Technology Acceptance and Use Unified Model. The internal consistency coefficient of the scale was 0.95. Success test and technology acceptance and use scale were applied to both groups before and after training. The study group was given 3 weeks of education via BILZÖS. The control group received normal education. The data obtained from both trainings were analyzed with SPSS 20 program. As a result of the analysis, it was seen that a significant academic success was obtained in both the experimental and control groups. However, although the average of the experimental group was higher than the average of the control group in the final tests, no statistically significant difference was found between them. Another result obtained from the analysis is that there is no significant difference between the pre-test and post-test levels of the teacher candidates in the experimental and control groups. BİLZÖS is designed for the students to have a higher quality and fun education process according to the normal classroom education with their orientation during the training and the dynamic content. According to the results of this study, we can say that BILZÖS has achieved as much success in academic achievement as in normal classroom education. It is seen that intelligent teaching systems have a great importance nowadays when individual learning is at the forefront. It is thought that the necessary academic support for the use and dissemination of ITSs in our country as well as in other countries will contribute to the education and training. This study was applied to a limited period, a limited issue and a limited group. In the future, more than one course on BILZOS can be opened for the education of a large number of students at the same time and the academic achievement levels of each course can be examined. Intelligent web-based teaching systems like BİLZÖS can be developed.
