Abstract (EN)

With the acceleration of digitalization, security vulnerabilities, high transaction costs, and privacy issues in traditional web-based session management and payment systems have become prominent challenges. This study aims to address these issues through the decentralized, cryptographic, and transparent nature of blockchain technology, while also demonstrating the practical advantages of blockchain-based web applications. Within the scope of the study, a prototype for blockchain-based authentication and payment systems was developed using modern web technologies and tested on the BNB Chain Testnet to assess its feasibility. The experimental findings indicate that the developed system has the potential to enhance security in authentication and payment processes, reduce transaction costs, and strengthen users' control over their data. However, scalability limitations and regulatory compliance challenges remain significant obstacles to the widespread adoption of the technology. This study contributes to the limited body of application-oriented research in the literature and demonstrates the practical benefits of blockchain-based authentication and payment systems. Future research is recommended to address scalability and regulatory compliance challenges.
