Abstract (EN)
Within the scope of this thesis, the size-dependent bending behavior of microbeams on elastic foundation is investigated using Rayleigh-Ritz method for four different support situations. Bernoulli-Euler beam theory and modified couple stress theory are used in the modeling. The interactions between the elastic foundation and the microbeam are considered with the Winkler elastic foundation model. The effects of length scale parameter, applied load, Winkler foundation parameter, and boundary conditions on the displacement values of the microbeam are investigated in detail.
