Özet (EN)

This thesis aims to examine the reasons for and consequences of the Afghan migration to Turkey in the early 21st century. Afghanistan has long been grappling with various internal conflicts, political uncertainties, and economic challenges. These factors have prompted the Afghan people to leave their country, leading many to seek international protection. The thesis highlights Turkey's role in this process by analyzing the fundamental reasons for Afghan migration through political, economic, and security dimensions. Turkey, by opening its doors to refugees, has drawn the attention of the international community and developed various policies and strategies to cope with Afghan migration. Additionally, the thesis evaluates the impacts of Afghan migration on Turkey, addressing the dynamics that have emerged in economic, social, and cultural dimensions. Topics such as the interaction of migrants with Turkish society, their contributions to the labor market, and the management of local resources provide important perspectives for understanding these impacts. In conclusion, this thesis comprehensively assesses the effects of Afghan migration on Turkey in the 21st century. The reasons for migration, Turkey's role in this process, and the consequences of migration are examined from both academic and policy-oriented perspectives, contributing to an understanding of Turkey's efforts in dealing with this global issue.
