Abstract (EN)
In America, Lacanian, Foucauldian, Freudian, neo-pragmatist; The new historicism theory, which was created by a group of academics advocating the deconstructionist and unreconstructed formalist view, united around the Representation magazine under the leadership of Stephen Greenblatt, continued its influence starting from the 1970s and throughout the 90s. The theory, which argues that in order to understand the texts, it is necessary to focus on the people and values of the period in which they were created, before the author, draws attention to the importance of culture in the work and argues that the discourse, knowledge and created truth that make up the works should be revealed within this framework. In this regard, three novels of Y. Hakan Erdem, who studied at Boğaziçi and Oxford Universities, are called Zaman Çöktü, Unomastica alla Turca and Kitab-ı Duvduvani. It was examined under the title 'A New Historicist Approach to Hakan Erdem's Novels' and it was tried to reveal how the dominant ideology, discourse, knowledge and truth in the works came into being. Key Words: New Historicism, Y. Hakan Erdem, Unomastica alla Turca, Time Collapsed, Kitab-ı Duvduvani
