Fires are a crucial determinant of the continuity of vegetation with the structure and establishment of the forest, depending on the relationship with the fire. More than half of the country's forest area consists of forests with first and second degree of sensitivity to fire. Forest fires affect vegetation as well as soil properties. In this study, the effects of forest fires on soil properties were investigated in forest, sap cover and open forest area. In the investigation of the effects of fire on the chemical and physical properties of the soil, a total of 18 parcels, 9 of which were burned and 9 of which were unburned (control), were taken from each land use class. Soil samples were taken from 5 different depth levels (0-5, 5-10, 10-20, 20-40 and 40-60 cm). According to the results of the study, it was determined that forest fire has different effects on the chemical properties of the soil in different land uses and different depth levels. For example, the change in the base soil (0-5 cm) nitrogen values of the burned and unburned areas in different land use types was not found significant in terms of land use. However, the amounts of phosphorus useful in the same areas were measured in the forests with the lowest 9,8 mg / l and in the burned oak areas with the highest 21.8 mg / l. The results of the study helped to overcome the lack of literature related to the research topic in our country. At the same time, it has shown important results about ecological conditions after fire in deciduous oak forest areas. The information and findings obtained from the study have contributed significantly to the post-fire assessment and reforestation of leafy forest areas.
