Abstract (EN)

The study examines the contribution of artificial intelligence (AI) algorithm usage to the educational processes of students in the fields of landscape architecture and art education under the themes of "enhancing students' imagination" and "integration into a strong educational process." Conducted with students receiving design education within an academic institution, this research focuses on the use of AI algorithm-based programs and their role in the development of design processes. The study addresses three main questions: (I) What is the impact of AI algorithms on art and design practices? (II) What solutions can be developed for the challenges encountered in the use of AI algorithms? and (III) How do AI algorithms contribute to art and design education? Accordingly, the aim is to develop an educational model for design training that benefits from the integration of AI algorithm applications into the existing education model. The first part of the evaluation focuses on the reflections of AI algorithm applications in art and design studies on the near-future architectural education, while the second part examines the concept of "Ecology" — a common area of study for the disciplines of painting and landscape architecture — within the context of AI algorithm utilization. The study was conducted with 150 participants, including academics and students from the Department of Landscape Architecture, Faculty of Engineering and Architecture, R.T.E.U., through a workshop and a survey. The data obtained were analyzed using the SPSS software. The findings revealed that: (1) the increasing level of AI tool usage has led students and academics to assume more guiding roles in the educational process, (2) AI facilitates design and supports the development of creative skills, (3) AI-assisted tools enhance professional competencies, (4) they strengthen learning motivation, and (5) they create a strong tendency toward the use of these technologies in future projects. It was concluded that, in addition to increasing productivity, AI technologies serve as a powerful educational tool that reinforces students' self-confidence, creativity, and professional competence.
