Abstract (EN)

Seventy eight eyes of 39 patients who older than 50 years were diagnosed ARMD at Dicle Uiversity Medical Faculty Eye Department between July 2005 to December 2009 included to the study. Sixty seven eyes had ARMD and 11 eyes were not had ARMD. After detailed systemic hystory patients were examined full ophtalmologic examination. Patients with glaucome, DRP, CRVO and CRAO that effect ocular perfusion were exluded to the study. After FFA non-neovascular or neovascular ARMD was diagnosed in one eye or both eyes. PSV, EDV and R.İ. of OA, SRA and PSA in both eyes of patients were examined by CDUSG.The number of patients who were smoking and time of smoking was higher in eyes with ARMD but there were no statiscally relationship between ARMD and smoking. However when care about smoking there were meaningful differences between ARMD patients with HT or not. At the same patients when one eye had neovascular ARMD and fellow eye had nonneovascular ARMD there were no statiscally differences between the average value of PSV, EDV and R.İ. of OA, PSA and SRA (P > 0.05).At the same patient, when one eye had ARMD and fellow eye had not ARMD there were no statiscally differences between the average value of PSV, EDV and R.İ. of OA, PSA and SRA (P > 0.05).At right eye who had nonneovascular ARMD and who had neovasulcar ARMD there were no statiscally differences between the value of PSV, EDV and R.İ. of OA, PSA and SRA (P > 0.05).The value of R.İ. of PCA and SRA was higher in neovascular ARMD than nonneovascular ARMD (P > 0.05), there were no meaningful differences the value of PSV, EDV and R.İ. of OA, PCA and SRA (P > 0.05).However, the defeat of choroidal perfusion is important at pathogenesis of ARMD, large series, long term clinical following and experienced equigment are needed for the play of CDUSG.
