Abstract (EN)

The purpose of this study is to investigate the problems met in the application of problem solving and decision making, planning, organizing, interaction, coordination, supervision, and evaluation processes in the administration of the Regional Boarding Schools. For this purpose, items related to each of the administration processes were asked to the administrators of the Regional Boarding Schools, data were gathered and analyzed related to the implementation of the processes and the existing and the necessary conditions described by the administrators of the Regional Boarding Schools were compared. Quantitative methods were used in the research and 32 interview questions were asked to the administrators of Regional Boarding Schools. The data gathered according to the responses were summarized briefly in the bellow: According to the opinions of the administrators of the Regional Boarding Schools, the most frequently met problem is 24 hours opening of the Regional Boarding Schools. Thiscondition has caused many problems. The age mean of the parents is high and they aren?t conscious enough and eager enough to train their children. The students of the first three grades aren?t successful in realizing their essential needs. The students of boarding schools have missed their families and this has caused difficulty in their adaptation process. The students of Regional Boarding Schools, generally weren?t eager to learn and to dream. The placement of Regional Boarding Schools were outside of the settlement places, this has affected negatively both transformation and improvement of social adaptation skills of the students. The administrators have spent most of their time with services and adjudication. Especially, the newly attained teachers have had some troubles in meeting the conditions of Regional Boarding Schools. In some Regional Boarding Schools, there still weren?t sport hall and residence buildings and there were some problems related to equipment and rigging. As a result, according to the declerations of the administrators of Regional Boarding Schools, it was determined that there were many problem areas in Regional Boarding Schools. The administrators have seen themselves as effective in the processes of problem solving, decision making, planning, organizing, interaction, coordination, and evaluation. The requirements of administrators of Regional Boarding Schools in order to realize administrative processes were summarized in the bellow: The effective Regional Boarding Schools administrator must be a good trained in interaction and must be dominant in legistations, regulations and laws. He must be devoted, constructive, tolerated and he must like children. He must behave democratically and objectively and has the leadership qualities. He must be open-minded and a good planner and must take risks if necessary and like his duty. He must be in good relationships with public organizations, and high level administrators and he must be a good model with his clothing. she must adopt and devote himself to Regional Boarding Schools. Regional Boarding Schools are very widespread in the rural areas. The important part of the education instruction activities are realized in Regional Boarding Schools. To find solutions to the problems of Regional Boarding Schools which have given thousands of graduates everyyear and to administer them more effectively mean to participate in the improvement of the Turkısh Education System to a great exend.
