Özet (EN)

Aim: It is to determine the changes in some anthropometric measurements and biochemical findings of individuals who receive catering service compared to those who receive dietary counseling. Material and Method: The study was conducted on volunteer slightly obese and obese women aged 19-55 years who applied to a special diet clinic. Individuals who applied chose the method they wanted to lose weight. Forty-seven women benefited from diet counseling and 53 women from catering service. The groups were followed for 4 weeks. General information, anthropometric measurements and bioelectrical impedance analyzes (BIA) of the volunteer participants were evaluated. Some biochemical parameters of the participants were recorded. Considering the health status of the participants, an appropriate nutrition plan (55-60% carbohydrate, 15-20% protein, 25-30% fat) was prepared. Results: While the difference in body weight, body mass index, body fat mass, body fat percentage values before and after the diet (4th week) decreased significantly in both groups; When these two groups were compared (p<0.001), no statistically significant difference was found (p>0.05). The difference in serum fasting blood glucose (FGW), serum insulin, HOMA-IR, LDL cholesterol, and Triglyceride values was also significant within itself (p<0.001), but no statistically significant difference was found in group comparisons (p>0.05). Conclusion: There was no significant difference in the markers evaluated between catering diet service and diet counseling (p>0.05). Although it is thought that food diet service will be an alternative for obese individuals who cannot undergo a compatible diet process because it does not provide portion food control, more studies are needed to prove the effect of food diet service on diet and health markers.
