Abstract (EN)

TITLE: SYNTHESIS AND CHARACTERIZATION OF THE NEW AMINOOXIMELIGANDS, PREPARATION OF THEIR METAL COMPLEXES, DETERMINATION OFCONDUCTIVITY AND REDUCTION-OXIDATION POTENTIALS.AUTHOR: AHMET KILIÇSUMMARYIn this work, twelve new ligands and their Ni(II), Cu(II) and Co(II) metal complexeshave been synthesized. In the first step of the study, phenylchloroglyoxime and p-tolylchloroglyoxime have been synthesized. Later, Ligands (L1H2, L2H2, L3H2, L4H2, L5H2 andL6H2) was synthesized from the reaction of a solution of different primary amines intetrahydrofuran(THF) with a solution of phenylchloroglyoxime or p-tolylchloroglyoxime intetrahydrofuran(THF). Mono nuclear complexes of Ni(II), Cu(II) and Co(II) metal complexeswere obtained by refluxing the ligands (L1H2, L2H2, L3H2, L4H2, L5H2 and L6H2) andNiCl2.6H2O, CuCl2.2H2O or CoCl2.6H2O (metal to ligand ratio 1:2) together in ethanol. In the second step of the study, anti-monochloroglyoxime have been synthesized.Later, ligands (L7H2, L8H2, L9H2 and L10H2) were synthesized from the reaction of a solutionof different primary amines in tetrahydrofuran (THF) with a solution of anti-monochloroglyoxime in tetrahydrofuran (THF). Mono nuclear complexes of Ni(II), Cu(II)and Co(II) metal complexes are obtained by refluxing the ligands (L7H2, L8H2, L9H2 andL10H2) and NiCl2.6H2O, CuCl2.2H2O or CoCl2.6H2O (metal to ligand ratio 1:2) together inethanol. In the third step of the study, dichloroglyoxime have been synthesized. Ligand (L11H2)was synthesized from the reaction of a solution of a primary amine in dicholoromethane(CH2Cl2) with a solution of cyanojen-di-N-oxide in dicholoromethane (CH2Cl2). But, L11H2was not purified. Later, ligand (L12H2) was synthesized from the reaction of a solution of aprimary amine in tetrahydrofuran (THF) with a solution of dichloroglyoxime intetrahydrofuran (THF). Mono nuclear complexes of Ni(II), Cu(II) and Co(II) metal complexeswere obtained by refluxing the ligands (L11H2 and L12H2) and NiCl2.6H2O, CuCl2.2H2O orCoCl2.6H2O (metal to ligand ratio 1:2) together in ethanol. The Ni(II), Cu(II) and Co(II) metal complexes of all ligands are proposed to be squareplanar or metal complexes are proposed to be octahedral with two water molecules as axialligands. The structure of the ligands and theirs Ni(II), Cu(II) and Co(II) metal complexes havebeen identified with a combination of elemental analysis, 1H and 13C-NMR spectra, FT-IR,UV-VIS, magnetic susceptibility measurements. Also, melting point, conductivitymeasurements and reduction-oxidation potentials of metal complexes have been determined.
