Abstract (EN)
Objective: The aim of this study is to examine the relationship between the organizational socialization levels and organizational commitment of nurses who have just started working. Method: The research was carried out with 171 nurses who volunteered to participate in the research, with a starting time between 6 months and 24 months, at Akdeniz University Hospital serving in the province of Antalya. In the collection of data; Personal Information Form, Organizational Socialization Scale Form and Organizational Commitment Scale Form were used. Data analysis was performed using frequency, percentile distribution and correlation. Results: While the organizational socialization level mean score of the newly recruited nurses was 63,52±10,36; organizational commitment level mean score was 53,99±10,96. In the correlation analysis, it was determined that there was a moderate level of positive correlation between organizational socialization and organizational commitment general scale scores (r=0,558, p<0,001). Conclusion: It was determined that there is a moderately significant relationship between organizational socialization levels and organizational commitment in newly recruited nurses. Attemps to increase the organizational socialization levels of newly recruited nurses may contribute positively to the organizational commitment process. An employee with organizational commitment will be motivated by identifying with his institution, thus ensuring continuity in his work and increasing his productivity.
