Abstract (EN)
Energy demand has increased with the rapid growth in technological developments in recent years. A number of applications in renewable energy has increased significantly today instead of non-renewable energy. The main purpose of present study is to increase efficiency of energy in renewable energy. In the thesis, a novel rotary energy system is presented. In the proposed system, a hybrid system whose energy is derived from solar and wind energy is envisaged. A prototype for novel rotary energy system has been designed and manufactured. The designing, manufacturing, installation and output power prediction for the prototype are explained in detail. Some parts of the prototype are manufactured by a 3D printer. Energy has been produced in solar panels for the prototype. The prototype has been tested at different rotation speeds to evaluate effect of wind energy. The dimensions of solar panel are 140x60x2.5 mm. Ten solar panels are mounted on the prototype. The electrical properties for panel are 6V and 100 mA. The output power prediction based on Feedforward Neural Network (FFNN) and Particle Swarm Optimization trained Feedforward Neural Network (PSO-FFNN) are performed for the FFNN architecture, the RMSE, MAPE and TIC values are calculated as 0.0690, 0.0455 and 0.0278, respectively. For the PSO-FFNN architecture, RMSE, MAPE and TIC values are 0.0530, 0.0383, and 0.0213, respectively. The proposed novel rotary system is intended to be installed in place high solar and wind energy potential. According to the results, it has been proved that it will be produced energy more effectively with a hybrid rotary system consisting of photovoltaic and wind turbines in meeting the energy needs in place high energy potential.
