Abstract (EN)

Synthesis of ligands containing phosphorus and nitrogen, with direct bonds between the two elements, has been known for many years, but continues to attract considerable attention, with applications in increasingly diverse fields.Compared to diphosphines with the P-C-P linkage, bis(phophino)amines with P-N-P skeletons have proved to be much more versatile ligands, and varying the substituents on both the P- and N-centres gives rise to changes in the P-N-P angle and the conformation around the P-centres. Small variations in these ligands can cause significant changes in their coordination behaviour and the structural features of the resulting complexes. Phosphorus, nitrogen compounds exhibit immense structural diversity and detailed structural information combined with theoretical rationalisation of their bonding, has helped to consolidate the field. Synthesis of new chelating bis(phosphines) to stabilize transition metals in low valent states is considered to be a most challenging task in view of their potential utility in a variety of metal-mediated organic transformations.Present work describes synthesis of three new bis(phosphino)amine ligand by the reaction of ?,??-diamino-m-xylene, 3-methyl phenyl acetone, 3,4- dimethyl aniline with monochlorodiphenylphosphine (Ph2PCl). Then P(V) type chalcogen derivatives (O, S, Se) and Pd(II) complexes of these ligands were prepared. Furthermore, catalytic effects of the palladium complexes were explored in Suzuki and Heck coupling reactions.All of the ligands and their complexes were characterised by NMR and IR.
