Effect or neo-platonism on the Ishrâq philosophy

In this study, the reflection of the Plotinos's Philosopy to Suhrawardi's thoughts is examied. Within the frame of the "the Affect of New-Platonism to Ishrâq Philosophy New-Platonism and Ishrâq Philosophy, which formed the core of topics has been examined. In this way opinions of Plotinus and Sühreverdi who were the supporters of these two movements have been examined through basic concepts of their philosophies have been compared from the perspectives of these philosophers. This study also focuses on the other philosophical thoughts affecting these philopsophers. In the first part of our study, the emanation thought which is called as "one" by Plotinos and its foundations, which are nous, soul and substance are taken into conderation. In the second part, the "light" concept which is the base of Sührawardi's philosophy and emanation thought coming out of this light concept has been examined. which consist of around this "light concept" are studied. Within the context of the philosophies of Plotinus and Suhrawardi, it is understood that all entities and universe are emerged from God. In the third part, the effects of Plotinus's Neo-platonic philosophy on Ishrâq philosophy founded by Sühreverdi. İs taken into consideration within the context of basic concepts.
