Abstract (EN)
In this study, the biological activities of some newly synthesized transition metal complexes and aminophosphine compound have investigated via antimicrobial, antioxidant and mutagenicity activities.Paper disk diffusion assay was using to determine antimicrobial activity of tested compounds against five certain pathogen microorganisms, two Gram (-) negative Escherichia coli and Pseudomonas aeruginosa, two Gram (+) positive Staphylococcus aureus and Streptococcus pyogenes and a fungi Candida albicans, determined by evaluating of inhibition zone radius that occurred around paper disks. Results of inhibition zones showed that VT6 tested compound has a poor antimicrobial activity on both Escherichia coli and Pseudomonas, VT8 tested compound has a poor antimicrobial activity on Escherichia coli, Staphylococcus aureus, Streptococcus pyogenes, Candida albicans and VT5, VT7, VT9 tested compounds have a poor antimicrobial activity on Escherichia coli, Pseudomonas aeruginosa, Staphylococcus aureus, Streptococcus pyogenes, and Candida albicans microorganisms.Antioxidant activity of tested compounds determined by scavenging activity of DPPH free radical. As comparison results of both tested compounds and positive (BHA, BHT and AA) controls, VT5, VT6 and VT7 tested compounds have a middle, VT9 tested compound has a good and VT8 tested compound has a powerful antioxidant activity against DPPH.Mutagenicity activity has examined by using Ames/Salmonella microsome assay both in presence and absence of S9 mix. The activity examined both on TA98 and TA100 Salmonella mutant bacteria. The results showed that VT5 tested compound has a non-mutagenic activity on both TA98 and TA100 in absence of S9 mix (-) but has a mutagenic activity on both TA98 and TA100 in presence of S9 mix (+), VT6 tested compound has a mutagenic activity on both TA98 and TA100 in absence of S9 mix (-) but has a non-mutagenic activity on TA98 and has a mutagenic activity on TA100 in presence of S9 mix (+), VT7 tested compound has a mutagenic activity on both TA98 and TA100 in absence of S9 mix (-) but has a non-mutagenic activity on both TA98 and TA100 in presence of S9 mix (+), VT8 tested compound has a non-mutagenic activity on both TA98 and TA100 in absence of S9 mix (-) but has a non-mutagenic activity on TA98 and has a mutagenic activity on TA100 in presence of S9 mix (+).Key Words: Transition metals, Disk diffusion, DPPH, Ames test, Mutagenicity.
