Abstract (EN)

Simulators are instruments that facilitate the educational process by providing digital simulations in numerous fields of study where real-world conditions cannot be met. These instruments offer a secure testing environment and reinforce the individual's knowledge and skill level. Simulators employed in healthcare settings facilitate students' development of practical skills and acquisition of hands-on experience prior to their entry into clinical environments. In light of these advantages, the adoption of simulator-based education as an innovative approach in midwifery education to enhance clinical competence is of great importance. In the context of the present thesis study; Algorithms were developed based on predefined clinical scenarios; appropriate sensors capable of monitoring parameters were selected, and a microcontroller-based hardware infrastructure was established. The collected data undergoes immediate processing and is subsequently presented to the user in a visual format via a graphical user interface. The system functions in an integrated manner with both hardware and software components using the prepared circuit board, allowing users to interactively experience the scenarios. Furthermore, the performance of the developed simulator system has been thoroughly evaluated through a series of rigorous tests, and subsequent improvements have been implemented based on the feedback obtained. This work integrates sensor technologies, embedded system design, algorithmic modeling, and user interface development processes, offering an innovative simulator solution through an interdisciplinary approach. Consequently, an electronic system design study has been conducted for a simulator that has the potential to contribute to educational technologies in the field of health through mechatronics engineering.
