Abstract (EN)
This study consist of the research on enhancing the forthcoming supply of the renewable energy sources in Türkiye's future wind energy applications. The need for energy is increasing day by day due to industrialization and the global population growth. Because of the limited availability of fossil fuels, their negative effects on the environment and human health, the irregular distribution of resources through the world and the resulting economic dependence on foreign sources, global research on obtaining energy from renewable resources is accelarating more than ever before. Solar and wind energy are believed to be the sources that will shape the future of renewable energy applications. Wind energy is a native source that does not require foreign economical dependency, it does not have a negative influence on the environment or human beigns and is a resource which can be improved because it is open for technological developments. As of january 2023, the installed wind energy capacity in Türkiye has increased by almost %500, from 1,729 MW in 2011 to 11,101 MW. This rise has boosted the percentage of wind energy installations from %3,27 to %11. Wind energy applications are anticipated to play a significant role in addressing Türkiye's energy demands in the coming years. Our models predict that wind energy is expected to have 29,7 GW of the predicted 189,7 GW of installed power in 2035, contributing to the generation of 90,1 TWh of the produce of electricity. Alongside the growing trend, the significant potential of renewable energy applications is the reason behind the increasing capacity based on renewable sources in Türkiye. The wind energy potential in Türkiye is 47,849.44 MW. Due to the fact that the onshore wind potential in Türkiye is three-and-a half times greater than the offshore wind potential and the building of offshore wind farms is one-and-a-half or two times more expensive, evaluating onshore wind potential can have strategically beneifical outcomes. In addition to increasing the installed power based on wind energy, local manufacturing facilities specializing in wind components are important to reduce installation costs. Because of this reason, it is crucial to extend currect projects, such as National Wind Energy Systems Development and Prototype Turbine Production Projects and to turn to national initiatives in accordance with R&D planning, both in terms of wind components and speeding up the supply processes. A sustainable development for Türkiye can be achieved through enhancing its investment in wind energy apllications, which offers high potential of employment and also supplies energy in an inexpensive and safe way.
