The Role and the importance of organizational communication in local press organizations

ABSTRACT Local Press that is in a special place among the mass madia has a special position in the communication construct of the society as a social institution. Local press, whose main function is to inform, also carries out a lot of psycho-social functions as well. It has some functions such as to create public opinion, educate and entertain. Whatever their aim is, the institutions that constitute a part of the social structure continue by the order of relations inside and outside. To take these multi respected relations under the control and to make them work in a clear structural order and aim depend on a communication policy that is effective. While the local press organizations, which take the job of being leader in the society that they serve are carrying out a responsibility of this kind, it is very important to spend the institutional constructions in itself on strong base to serve its press workers with a communicators' conscience and to have a well operation in the communication within the organization. The literature search made on this field, it has been seen that the management and the structure of organization of press organizations but we haven't seen a source on the studies tending the system of organizational communication To meet this lack, it has been the main goal of this study to present the problems that occur as a result of the structure of the organization of local press organizations and the weakness of communication within the organization. In the firs part of the study, an attempt is made to define the problem, state the objective, line-up the assumptions and constraints, in the second part knowledge has been given in the direction of describing.In the third part, the communication concept that constitutes the base of this study has been explained, in the fourth part, the role and the importance of local press which is mass media the concepth of the organization, the organization and the structure of organizational communication in local press organizations have been studied in fifth part. In the sixth part, the result of the survey applied to the personel of Yeni îleri Which newspaper is pressed in Antalya have been stated and all the results have been comprehended. In the final part, conclusion and suggestions have been explained.
