Perceptions of women in local goverment case study İstanbul Bağcilar Municipality

The purpose of this research to investigate the policy implemented against women. In this way whether the satisfaction level of local government on perception of the women trainees taking apart in the course of municipality changable or not according to the period of residence, the time of attending to activities, income level, working status, the condition of awareness of activities and marital status are analysed. The total number of women trainees taken apart in Women and Family Cultural Art Center bound to Bağcılar Municipality in Istanbul in 2013 are consist of 350 women trainees. In the inquiry "The Demographic Information Form" and "Questionss list of Perceptions of Women on Local Government" prepared by researcher are used as the data collection tools . Questions list is implemented on 309 participants between May and April in 2013. In the assessment descriptive statistical methods (number, percentage, mean, standard deviation) are applied. In order to test the second, third, and fourth sub- problems One- Way Anova Analyse is used for unreleated examples.For fifth and sixth sub problems T-test is used. Taking into consideration findings releated to sub problems of research, the satisfaction level of local government on perception of the women trainees taking apart in the course of Bağcılar Municipality is not changable according to the period of residence in Istanbul, the time of attending to activities of the municipality, working status, the condition of awareness of activities and marital status. Whereas, the income level of trainees impact the satisfaction level of local government on perception of the women. To expand it, the satisfacton level of trainees taking minimum wage is more than the satisfaction level of trainees taking median wage to activities applied by the municipality for them. By gathering the other findings, the satisfaction level of local government on perception of the women trainees change according to working status. The trainees working in any institutions are more pleased than the ones who do not work in any activites of applied by institutions of the municipalities. Key Words 1. Gender 2. Women's Perception 3.
