Abstract (EN)
Developments in technology in recent years have led to the renewal of the transportation system. In order to ensure the safety of people's lives and property while using public transportation, Smart Transportation Systems applications have been implemented to provide a more convenient and comfortable journey. In addition, in order to reduce time loss by reaching one point to another in a shorter time, local governments have developed smart systems using technologies for transportation, providing both drivers and passengers with advantages in travel. In order to minimize the problems experienced in transportation, extensive research has been conducted in our country and other countries and opinions have been expressed on how technology and ITS applications can be benefited more. In this thesis, information about ITS applications is given, the benefits of the application and the studies carried out by the province of Gaziantep, which is a metropolitan city in our country, for ITS applications are mentioned.
