The purpose of this study is to understand the impact of tourists' fear of terrorism on the tourism industry, determine the levels of perceived terrorism fear among tourists based on demographic variables, analyze how tourists' fear of terrorism affects their travel decisions, holiday preferences, and destination choices, reveal the perception of trust in security personnel and intentions for repeat visits by tourists following terrorist incidents, and finally determine the most effective strategies for coping with tourists' fear of terrorism. The survey qouestionnaire, one of the quantitative research techniques, was used in this study. Within this scope, a survey was conducted with 425 domestic tourists using a convenience sampling method, covering seven regions in Turkey, and data were collected. According to the results of the study, differences in terrorism fear were observed based on gender. Differences were also found in the dimension of intention for repeat visits based on educational background. Another finding of the study indicates a positive and moderate significant relationship between the dimension of terrorism fear and the dimension of intention for repeat visits. There is also a positive and highly significant relationship between the dimension of trust in security personnel and the dimension of terrorism fear. Furthermore, a positive and moderate significant relationship was determined between the dimension of intention for repeat visits and the dimension of trust in security personnel.
